The shop window is in the heart of the cultural district and most visited shopping area of the city Barcelona: El Born, in Carrer Cotoners number 8.

It is an exhibition space open to proposals of any contemporary artistic expression: visual arts, dance, theatre, performance, happening, actions etc.

It is a non-profit project that aims to provide an alternative to the concept of “commercial shop window” and turn it into a platform for artistic creation, expression of ideas and reflection.

A shop window that promotes the artist and brings the everyday consumer closer to the new expressions of modern art, enriching the cultural activity of the neighbourhood.

What distinguishes us from other art spaces is the direct contact, where one does not need to go inside to experience it. On the contrary, it is there in the street and people can pass by and look or continue on their way, just as most of us do when we go shopping.

The exhibitive programme of the shop window consists of different individual exhibitions or actions by an artist or group every twenty days.
